Two conversations, overheard

So this morning Natalyn and Jacey were playing in Londyn's room. I was putting laundry away in the next room, and I ovearheard this debate in progress:

N: "Heaven is in the sky. It's where Heavenly Father and Jesus are."

J: "No, heaven's not in the sky. Heaven is right here in our tummies."

N, perplexed: "That's not right Jacey."

J, defiant: "Yes it is! Remember, before a baby pops out it is in heaven!"

I chuckled to myself and thought I guess we need an FHE lesson on the plan of salvation. On my next trip back to the bedrooms with my arms full of laundry I hear Jacey shouting these instructions:

"Okay, so we need 2 pieces of wood like this, and 2 pieces of wood like this, and we need 5 pieces of cardboard. Then we'll just make it into a nice rectangle. Oh no! We forgot our safety glasses!"

It was the safety glasses remark that triggered comprehension -- they were playing New Yankee Workshop. Which if you know my husband at all, you will know that New Yankee Workshop is akin to church services at our house on Saturday mornings. Silly girl. Daddy will be so proud.

Blake and Londyn were there too. Witnesses.

Isn't it funny to hear what our children are thinking about? So cute!

I LOVE that story!! You never want to forget the cute things they say! My mom used to keep a journal on top of the fridge just for moments like that!

I was thinking the same thing as Leah. All of your pictures look so good. You should take pictures professionally. Are those Marie's kids? Both of you have some beautiful kids.

By the way, my biggest laundry secret is that I use a lot of Spray 'n Wash and a tooth brush to rub it in. That gets most stains out.

You ALWAYS have the funniest stories that make me laugh out loud. And see, I told you that you could take pictures professionally! My photographer friend Hollie was looking for ideas for cute headers and I sent her to your blog (I was on the phone with her) and she asked if you are a photographer. She's good, your good.

Cynthia, I am so happy to be reminded of your great stories and humor. I love seeing the pics of your girls and Marie's kids too. They are beautiful and so smart, but I'm not surprised because they have beautiful and smart mothers!

I love how bright the colors are in the picture of Blake. How did you do that? All of my pictures have a dull blue tint.
