Apostles song

When my folks were here for General Conference, we were talking about how the Prophets song is getting a little outdated and/or cumbersome. (You know the primary song . . . Latter-day Prophets are number one . . . Joseph Smith then Brigham Young . . .) I remember it ending "Our latter-day prophet is loved by all, he's Spencer W. Kimball", but they've added on so many times now that I don't even know how it ends. Anyway, that's not really relevant at all. But we were saying that somebody needs to write a whole new song. This isn't the same thing, but that's why my My mom sent me this. I thought it was cute.

It's funny to see that you posted this at 10:53 am on Friday, and at my house, it is 10:18 am on Friday. This video was very cute. I remember the Prophets song ending with Ezra Taft Bensen. I taught primary a couple of years ago, and they've actually done a good job updating that song, except now they need to do it again.

LOVED THAT! What a fun way to remember the apostles! I will be passing that one along for sure!

That is really cute! And I agree definitely time to help out the prophet song. It's just a bunch of random slurring at the end now. It definitely does help me remember them all though. I'll have to memorize this one now.

And I'm glad you posted that quote under the comment section on my blog. I couldn't remember exactly what it said, but you clarified it perfectly.

Thanks for sharing. That was cute. I remember my seminary teacher teaching us the prophets by telling of a story. I still remember some of them that way, but yes, the song is a much better way of doing so.
