Jacey’s Wax Museum

Jacey has been working hard for the past 6 weeks or so, learning all she could about Clara Barton for their class wax museum.  The idea is that the students read a biography, and then dress up as the person they studied and give a little presentation, as if portraying that person in a wax museum.

Jacey read several books about Clara Barton and wrote a book report and display board.  One of the things she wrote in her book report is that she learned from Clara Barton’s example that one person can make a big difference, and that working hard and being dedicated will help you reach your goals.  I’d say those are pretty good take-aways from this assignment.

She worked hard to memorize the little speech she gave for the actual wax museum day.  I went and saw her presentation, along with Will, Calvin, both Grandmas, Marie, and Heather.  She felt very loved and supported!  And she did a great job.  I think she made an adorable Clara Barton!  There were a lot of“wax figures” in her class who did a really great job, but I think Jacey was the best.  :)

No question, she was the best! Impressive dress, also!
