Taylor Family Reunion

We spent the weekend in Aberdeen for the Taylor Family Reunion.  We had a great time!  Aberdeen is one of my most favorite places in the world to be.  We ate good food, spent some time on the water, and saw cousins/aunts/uncles that we don’t see often enough.

We got into town late Thursday night, and Calvin was ready to party.  I think he finally fell asleep around 1:00.  And he was up and ready to go at about 5:30.  So Calvin, Londyn and I went for a little stroll around Grandma’s house until everybody else got up.  After breakfast we took our time getting ready to head to the boat dock.  In fact I think it was after lunch when we finally got out there.  It was too windy to ski, but the girls and Will rode on the tube.  Calvin and I hung out on the dock.  It was too cold for the water to even tempt me.  Yet for some reason, we stopped at the drug store for ice cream cones on the way home.  Go figure.

We had a yummy dinner that night, then they had a pinata that the kids thought was great.  Grandma served dessert – homemade sherbet.  Mmmmm.  We tried to stay up and play games in the Driscolls’ trailer, but I think we were all a little too tired to be any fun.

I didn’t get the camera out until the last morning at breakfast.  Most people started packing up and heading home shortly after breakfast.

The reason I got the camera out is so I could get a picture of Jacey going off the platform swing.  She spent the. entire. time. going off that swing.  I kid you not – with the exception of the time we were out at the lake, she was on that swing the whole time.  She was one of the youngest kids to go off it, and she couldn’t get enough.  Will and I each went off it right before we left, and I can verify that it is MUCH scarier than it seems from the ground.  I couldn’t believe Jacey did it.

Swing-Animated

Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa and everybody who worked so hard on this reunion.  We had a great time!

Whoa. How'd you do that last picture like that? Cool! You guys are so good about getting together. I had a feeling you were out of town so don't be mad at me for not calling you when I was in Utah last weekend. It was last minute and for a funeral and then our car had issues. Fun. Anyway, I'm glad you guys had fun. :) I love seeing pictures of all the Davis clan!
