We spent last week camping/waterskiing on the Snake River in Idaho. There's a little state park near my grandparents' home town called Massacre Rocks, and my mom's family has been doing an annual week-long trip there since I was Jacey's age. Sadly, it's been several years since we've been up. But things worked out this year so we were able to go. it was wonderful weather - perfect temps, not too cold water, and overall pretty calm. The girls were in HEAVEN. Playing in the water, building sand castles, tube rides with their cousins, climbing rocks with the big girls, getting DIRTY, tons of yummy food and endless snacks . . . what's not to love? Jacey even kneeboarded with my cousin Taylor, which I didn't think she would want to do but she loved it. I was too chicken to take my camera (SAND! WATER! Eeeek!) so I stole some pics from my mom.
Londyn had a few afternoons where she didn't want to rest, and therefore ended up being super cranky in the evening. On the days when she fell asleep in a beach chair for a few hours she was much happier.
The girls complained about the limited mobility that comes with wearing their life jackets on the first day. But after that they were fine to leave them on while they played in the sand and in the water at the beach.
Breakfast is one of the best parts of Massacre Rocks. We always have fried eggs, bacon, and fry bread. Mmmmmmm. I took home some extra poundage as a souvenir of this trip.
I'm really hopeful that we'll get to go back up again next year. Hey, if we start planning now, right? Huge thanks to everybody that worked so hard to make this week so much fun. I was up there without Will for the first 3 days so I had a lot of help with my girls - from my folks, my siblings, my cousins - everybody. It was a wonderful week!

Wow, its pretty obvious that these are my pictures and not yours. They aren't near as good as the ones you take! But I have to agree, it was a great week! (However, I'm still mad all the chocolate ended up in my freezer.)
Your family is so good about getting together. The girls look darling in their life jackets. And I'm so impressed that Londyn would fall and stay asleep in a chair like that. Glad you had fun in Idaho, even though it was the wrong side of the state. ;) p.s. reese is sitting on my lap watching Londyn's cousin camp song over and over again with a big smile on her face.
You better be there next year. I had no idea it had been 5 years since you had been. Unaccepable!!! Such a fun week.
How fun, I think we went with you guys once when we were younger.
