1. Both of my girls are way into Super Why! right now. I know I shouldn't let them watch it as much as they do, but I think it's adorable to hear Londyn say "Calling all Supa Weedas! Calling all Supa Weedas!"
2. Last night for our FHE activity we played Don't Eat Pete. Somehow the cute board that Marie made for me years ago has disappeared. So Grandma and Jacey put this substitute together for last night's game.
Jacey, if you couldn't tell, was in charge of the legs and hair.
(By the way, if you've never played this game you should. You put a candy on each face, then somebody leaves the room and everybody else decides which one is "Pete". Then the person who left the room comes back in and starts picking up candies. When he/she picks up "Pete" everybody yells "Don't eat Pete!" and your turn is over. It really stinks though when you pick up Pete first.)
3. Related to #2, last night Londyn was afraid to start picking up candies. She didn't want to eat Pete, so she wouldn't choose any of them.
4. Londyn's new catchphrase is "I don't think so!" She throws it in a the oddest moments and it makes me laugh. For instance, this morning as I was cutting their pancakes, Jacey said "I want maple syrup." Londyn replied with "Maple syrup? I don't think so!"
5. Jacey is refusing to go get her hair cut. Which is surprising to me because she used to love going to get a haircut. She has recently become obsessed with the idea of wearing her hair in a bun. And of course, her hair isn't long enough for that. So I told her that we could grow it back out, but that she needs to go get a trim. No way. To her, a haircut is a haircut and it will mean she can't wear a bun so she wants nothing to do with it. I need a good idea for outsmarting her on this one.
6. So. . . remember that little bear cake from the last post? We didn't really have any occasion to eat it, so it has been sitting on the counter for the last 10 days. Until last night. We cut into it before we threw it away, just to see how dried out it was. Well . . . one thing led to another and before I knew it we were all covered in cake and smearing it in each other's faces. Well, except my mom and dad. Fuddy duddies. I did end up getting cranky though when Will just HAD to have the last laugh and smeared caked in my face as I was getting the girls in the tub - sending massive amounts of cake chunk into the bath water. Grrrrr.
7. We took the front off of Londyn's crib on Sunday. (Apparently it's a "day bed." Mostly it's a crib without the front on it.) She loves it. She thinks it's so cool that she can climb in all by herself. We didn't really have any reason to do it other than the fact that she's in underwear at night now, so I wanted her to be able to get up if she wakes up to go potty. We told her that the rule is that if she gets out then we'll put it right back on. So far she has stayed in bed when we put her down. It's been a way easier transition than with Jacey. Jacey took that new freedom and ran with it. Londyn though is content, for once, to follow the rules.
8. My folks are getting close to being done with their house. Which makes me want to head over there and break something.

Dallin is obsessed with SuperWhy also. He was actually Wyatt for Halloween. I can't believe you destroyed the teddy bear cake.. I guess it had to be thrown away sometime; it was just so cute. I can't believe Londyn is already in underwear at night! That is awesome! We are still struggling with that one.
I love the game "don't eat Pete". Cait used to be afraid to play that game too.
Oh my girls love that show too!! I love that you guys got into a cake fight!! I have heard of that game and I think my kids have played it but not me, so I am thinking I need to do something to change that!!
Wow that is awesome that she is wearing panties and doing so great at staying in bed!! Go Mom!!
I love don't eat pete, we play it every now and then too. Aubrey just started sleeping in a bed this week. She is doing o.k. but not as good as Jacey. Sounds like a fun cake party.
I should be cleaning my house right now, but there's a new Cynthia post and I can never pass that up. And your "random" ones are always so much fun. I want to hang out with Londyn. I think she would make me laugh A LOT. How come there are no photos of the cake fight? Now that, I would love to see. And boo to your parents leaving soon. Most definitely you should break something.
Thanks for reminding us all about Don't eat pete. That is a great game and perfect for little ones! The way I get Riley to get her hair trimmed is I tell her she is just getting the "icky ends" off. For some reason that makes sense to her and she is okay with it?
So I really think I need you to take some pictures of my girls in their Easter dresses... would you be up for it?
I love "Don't Eat Pete". My friend has a really cute board with all kinds of diverse people, and her kids call the black woman on the board "Oprah". I love the "I don't think so". William says "I no no?". I think it means I don't know. He uses the right inflection so it sounds so funny.
