A favorite of Londyn

DSC_9837

Just because.

Okay, actually I can't pick just one.  Let's call it a handful of favorites instead.

The other day we were all up at my mom and dad's new house working on it.  The kids were running around getting themselves good and dirty.  There is a big pile of dirt in the basement, which the kids have (repeatedly) been told to stay away from.  As they're headed down the stairs, Londyn yells to Jacey:

"Don't get in the dirt, or Mom will say 'Don't get in the dirt!'"

She knows me too well.

I need to be writing down more of the things she says because she is at such a cute age and says so many things that leave me in stitches.  I also need to get the video camera out more because she is so expressive and animated.  In that second picture up there she is singing a song to herself - something she does pretty often lately.  Yesterday as I was singing her lullaby to her before nap time (a daily request) all of a sudden she started singing along with me.  I didn't even know she knew the song, but she sang with me word for word.  I think it's funny when she asks to do a puzzle - she says "Mom can I do this? 'Cause I'm good at it."  She is also obsessed with cereal lately.  She seriously bawled for 20 minutes this morning because I made scrambled eggs.  The second she wakes up from her nap she asks if she can have some cereal. (She can't.)  The funniest part about that is that it's so ME!  (Cereal is my favorite snack, and it has been since I was a little kid.)  My folks say more and more lately that she is a little mini-me.  Frankly, I'm flattered.  I like her. ;)

It's crazy how two girls can look SO alike, yet SO different. What a doll!

Oh my gosh! Seriously? Those shots are adorable! That first one especially looks like it belongs in a GAP add. You're an impressive photographer and I'm sure it doesn't hurt to have such cute subjects. Reese and Londyn sound like they could be little sugar eating buddies together. The first thing out of Reese's mouth every morning is "a treat". Oh dear. And I must say that little Londyn sounds so dang smart!

She is a doll!
I'm like you, I love all the cute things they say. My Emma has started singing to me too. I thought she learned a certain song in nursery and I told her leaders I was so impressed, they said, "we didn't teach that song . . ." They must pick up on things pretty quick.

I know that I always post this but those pictures are amazing! So adorable! She is such a cute girl! I am the same way, I hate my kids getting dirty.. Dallin always tell Elise not to make a mess or mommy will get mad... I guess I need to ease up a bit.
