I feel like it's been so long since I posted that I can't possibly re-cap without leaving stuff out. But I will post some pics.
(A small disclaimer: I flipped the camera to auto and left it there for most of December. Flash and all. It was actually really nice to just enjoy the moments rather than worrying about how my photos were going to turn out. And they're fine. I have to remind myself that sometimes. It's not like their scrapbooks are going to end up in a museum someday.)
Okay. Where was I? Oh yes -
Christmas was wonderful. Magical, even. I woke up at 4:30 on Christmas Day and couldn't go back to sleep. I was excited for my girls. Jacey was excited and she did a pretty good job of getting Londyn excited too.
The girls got to dress up for the nativity on more than one occasion this year.
One of the many perks of my folks living with us: tea-rings. I have tried to make them but mine never (ever) turn out. Mom made a huge batch and we were some of the lucky benefactors. Yum.
Jacey was excited to find out that the little puppy set she already had was meant to go with the doll house that Santa brought her. I find it amusing how much she loves these little plastic puppies and how much she hates real puppies. Or any animal, for that matter.
We've spent a lot of time playing Mom's new Wii. I'm embarrassed by how sore I was the day after boxing and bowling. Londyn and Jacey think it's the coolest thing ever. Jacey does a little dance every time she knocks a bowling pin down. It's hilarious.
Will's Christmas punch has been a tradition in his family for a long time and it's starting to become a tradition in ours, too. It was especially comforting this year as we were all sick at one time or another and it's just right for nursing a cold.
This is the face Jacey is pulling for pictures lately. (I instructed my mom to take lots of pictures during their trip to Disneyland earlier this month, and Jacey is pulling this face in 99% of them. From the pictures you would think she had a lousy time, when in reality she had the time of her life.) Jacey wanted bobby pins in her hair for church because her teacher, whom she adores, wears bobby pins in her hair. Her teachers moved up with her and now teach her CTR 5 class. Needless to say, she is thrilled.
I took some photos of Mike & Jamie and their cute kids after new years. I haven't finished them yet but this is one of my early favorites.
All in all, it has been a nice, relaxing, low-key, slow paced vacation. Will heads back to work on Monday, so I guess the fun is over. Busy season starts next week, so then the fun is really over. I'm glad that my folks are here to keep me company. Oh, and American Idol - my busy season spouse.

I kid you not, this is the 4th time I have sat down to comment on your blog. I somehow keep getting distracted by somebody crying or needing to eat or something. It's always something! :) Anyway, I love that you woke up so early on Christmas morning because you were so excited. I think Christmas gets exciting again once you have kids because you get to live it through them again. I love the picture of your dad playing Wii too and I really love that it made you sore. That would totally be me. I'm so glad you had a good Christmas and got to be with so much family! I'm sorry you were sick though. Why does that always seem to happen around Christmas?!
I remember those tea rings that your mom made ev ery year. I wish I could make them. I don't know why you worry about pictures they always look cute. I can't seem to take a good picture.
