Sometimes Jacey asks me to do her hair like her baby. I think I nailed it today, don't you?
Sorry about the naked baby. We tried to make her more modest by drawing her a swimsuit.
Part of our morning routine includes Jacey and Londyn keeping me company in the bathroom while I get ready. Jacey always wants me to put makeup on her, and Londyn is content to bring in a toy and sit on the scale and play. (She weighs 22 pounds, in case you're wondering.) This is acually a pretty nice arrangement because (1) I know where they are and what they're doing while I get ready, and (2) Jacey doesn't get makeup on until all of her work is done, so anything she hasn't done yet usually gets finished while I get ready. Little does she know that I don't actually put any makeup on the brush before I tickle her face with it. She does get lipgloss however. And really she only gets that because I think it's so funny to see her smack her lips together after I put it on. She's very dramatic about it. Anyway, it is a pretty good motivator. Hopefully it will last. Today she started making faces in the mirror after her lipgloss. Crazy kid.
Last night at dinner, Jacey looked at me and said "Mom, I love you more than Dad." I about choked on my water. I asked if she loved dad and she said yes. I said "It's okay to love us both the same you know." She said "Yeah, I love daddy more than you, too." So I realized that she didn't exactly know what she had said, at least that's the story I'm sticking too. I debated telling Will about this conversation, but Jacey must have told him when he went in to say goodnight (he's getting home late these days, so he goes in and talks to Jacey when he gets home. She's usually still awake in bed). Apparently she told Will on Sunday that she loved him more than me. And do you know what he told her? "Don't tell mom that, it will make her sad." Here I am trying to teach her to love us both the same, and he's teaching her that it's okay to love him best but just don't tell me. Sheesh!

It is amazing the things kids say, and the reaction that they get from us, or their fathers. Thanks for the laugh today:)
That cracked me up good! You have the best stories, Cynthia!
That is so familiar! Except that Trae usually tells me that he loves dad more then me. Next time I will ask him that same question, because I also don't think that he knows exactly what he is saying. That makes me laugh!
That is such a cute story, and I can totally relate!
I love all the pictures, and thanks for making the cabbage patch doll modest :) I also have to agree that story is great.
Jacey is so funny! Thanks for sharing those fun stories.
That is the best story! I read it aloud to Tom and he busted up as well. Dang that Will! :) Also, great idea to bribe Jacey with "make-up" by the way. You're one smart cookie. And I am so glad Jacey set the record straight about not being a gorilla. I was wondering.
I love Jacey's facial expressions! So cute! And good job with the hair! Beautiful! :)
I am still crying from the previous post....but I have to laugh because that would so be Dallas.
on a diffrent but the same Dallas note tonight for FHE we were talking about making good choices and Sydney told us about this bully that keeps hitting her with a stick. Well I tried to talk to her about what good choices she could make and dallas kept saying kick her....luckily she is practicing karate right now so I could say yeah maybe you could teach her the new kicks....and Dallas keeps saying kick her...Oh SheeZ!
I would just like to put on record that this story has been slightly modified from the way it actually happen. Anonymous told Jacey that it would make Mom feel sad to hear that Jacey loved Dad more than Mom...ANONYMOUS ALSO SAID...that we love everyone the same, we love Mom just as much as Dad. At no time did Anonymous tell Jacey it was ok to love Dad more than Mom as long as we didn't tell Mom!
