Family Update: Londyn

I feel like I just barely did an update on Londyn, since her birthday post was nearly six months late.  So this will probably be much shorter than the last few.

DSC_7799-2 We tease Londyn a lot about her lack of teeth.  She’s been missing her two front teeth since October.  They’re coming, just sloooooowly.  She’s also lost two more on the bottom since this photo was taken.

I just finished a quilt for Jacey and I’m getting ready to start one for Londyn.  I have two sets of fabric out for her to pick from when she gets home from school.  One line is soft beautiful florals, the other is bright polka dots and stripes.  Any guesses about which one my sparkly little energy-ball is going to pick?

Will signed himself, Jacey and Londyn up for break dancing classes through his work.  (I know, whaaa???)  Their first class was last night.  Will came limping in the door and said “That was NOT a beginner class!”  Londyn, however, bounced in right behind him and didn’t hesitate to demonstrate all of the moves they learned.

DSC_7797-2 She is student of the week this week at school.  She had to fill out an all-about-me type booklet.  I learned a little bit from it.  For instance, I didn’t know she wanted to be a ballet teacher when she grows up.  (Perhaps I should get her in ballet class first?)  I also didn’t know she hates sloppy joes.  We have them on a fairly regular basis and she’s never complained.

She is still doing really well in school and her reading is getting more and more fluid.  But I’ll be honest . . . she doesn’t love it.  It’s kind of a chore and I wish it was more fun for her.  Any tips or ideas on how to get her to want to do her reading?  I’m all ears.

Math, however, is a different story.  I rarely have to remind her to do her math homework.  And she flies through it.

She can’t wait to start piano lessons.

She loves it when I come help in her classroom.

She makes fantastic messes creations out of printer paper, tape and staples.  Often.

She loves it when I snuggle with her for a few minutes before bed.

She is very rarely in a grouchy or bad mood.

Yep, sparkly girl.  Love her.

Break dancing? Seriously??? I guess we haven't talked in a while...maybe we should schedule some time to visit :) Love Londyn so much! BTW, she picked out kind of soft colors for her sewing project.

The break dancing is making me laugh so much! Especially the thought of Will limping in. And how loveable is she with that cute little gummy smile? Rarely grouchy or in a bad mood?! I want one of those!
