Unblogged.

Lest the last half of 2011 go unblogged . . . stuff happened.  Finding and buying a new house was, unfortunately, not among that stuff.  But this stuff was:

On our last day in our old house, we witnessed a small miracle.  We were at the park, waiting for Will to come drive the last load away, and my neighbor, Joy, showed up with her dogs.  We chatted for a bit and I mentioned how terrified of dogs Jacey is.  Well, long story short – Joy worked some magic and convinced Jacey to not only pet her dogs, but take them for a walk.  Jacey was so proud of herself, it seriously almost made me cry.  You might think that is silly, but if you know how afraid Jacey is of dogs, and how much her fear embarrasses her, you’d understand.

Soccer season happened.  This was Jacey’s first time playing and she did great!  Their team didn’t do so hot, but I was proud of Jacey and how hard she worked.  She’s a pretty natural athlete.  She wants to play again in the spring.

Halloween happened.  Jacey was a bride and Londyn was Rapunzel.  Calvin was, appropriately, a monkey.  (I didn’t manage to get any pictures of Calvin, but luckily Will’s brother sent me this one of all three of the kids.)

In November, Jacey was honored at the Reflections assembly for her entry.

We went to Londyn’s preschool for her “Parents and Pie” day just before Thanksgiving.  They sang a cute song, told us what they’re thankful for, and served us pumpkin pie.

We threw up the lights and backdrop in the basement one Sunday and got a few shots for Christmas cards.

Christmas happened.  I’m hoping Christmas will get its own post one of these days.

In January, Will took Jacey to the Daddy-Daughter dance at school.  (Sorry for the grainy, blurry phone pics.)

“Calvin – show us your funny face!”

This past weekend we chased the snow to Denver for my nephew’s baby blessing.  It was a quick but fun trip, once we got through the blizzard!

And that, my friends, is my update in pictures.  I wish I had news to report on the house-hunting front, but we haven’t made much progress there.  We’re hoping Spring brings good things!

Yay! You're back! Such cute pictures. I knew you said Jacey was scared of dogs, but I didn't know it was like that. Good for her! At least she's getting over it now and not a crazy 31 year old scared of fireworks...er...um...I mean dogs. And yeah, you came to Denver on a bit of crazy weather weekend. Did you actually drive through that? Yikes! I knew you were coming soon and figured that it would end up being too crazy to get together. That always seems to be how it goes for me anyway when I travel. Glad you blogged! Don't stay away too long. :)
