LUCKY me!

Does this blog seem kind of Calvin-centric lately?  Sorry about that.  It's just that . . . if anything, baby #3 has taught me that they really do grow up faster and faster.  And I don't want to forget these things, like I seem to be forgetting the girls' babyhood.  That, and getting pictures of Calvin is WAY easier than the other kids.  I mean, he LIKES to sit and smile at me!  I have to bribe the girls to do that.  I pledge posts for Jacey and Londyn in the coming weeks.  Pinky swear.

Now, back to Calvin.

He's 7 months today.  Happy St. Paddy's day to all!  He sends a bit o' luck your way.

He's kind of hit a mobility explosion lately.  I'm not ready to declare him "crawling" per se, but he can definitely get to where he wants to be.  And he does crawl, occasionally.  But mostly it's belly scooting.  He was doing this funny little flop for a while, but it only lasted a few days.  Which is too bad, because it was hilarious.  Luckily we caught it on video.

He's exploring the world of real foods.  He loves his oatmeal in the morning and is pretty fond of peas and carrots.  But honestly, he still likes his bottles best.  He kind of endures the solid foods so he can get to the bottle.

He has developed a flattering yet exhausting affection for me.  I mean, I love it.  But seriously?  Is it really the end of the world if I leave the room?

He has a regular bedtime, just after the girls go down.  I can't tell you how much I love having my evenings back.  I feel so much more in control of my world.

He's a crazy jumpin' fool in his jumper.  I swear I think he's going to pull the molding off the door frame.  He loves it best when he has an audience, which his sisters are usually happy to provide.

He is the best shopping buddy.  He rarely makes a peep when we're out running errands.  As long as there's something interesting going by to look at, he's chill.

I must say . . . I do feel like the LUCKIEST mom in the world.  I love my kiddos!!

My kids loved those doorway jumpers, and I think they are so cute jumping around in them. I'm glad he is a good baby for you, Cynthia. And that is the cutest St. Paddy's shirt I've ever seen.

Seriously, your kids and their cheeks....the cutest!!! I love that you blog about Calvin so much. Not only is it fun to hear about him, but it also gives me hope that I may actually blog about child #3.
